For Massachusetts businesses · 100 or fewer W-2 employees
We Train Your Team. The State Can Reimburse the Cost.
Hands-on training that makes your people genuinely productive, taught by experts in each field. Massachusetts reimburses up to 100% of the cost for eligible companies with 100 or fewer employees, through the Workforce Training Fund Express Program.
What we do
We provide the training
Our role is simple: we train your team. We’re building training for employers in healthcare, IT and the skilled trades. The Massachusetts Express Program can then reimburse eligible employers for a large share of what that training costs.
How the funding works — and our role in it: the Express Program is between you and the state. The employer applies for the grant directly and receives the reimbursement. Career Skills Center does not apply on your behalf, handle the paperwork, or take any payment for the grant process — we simply provide the training. Only the state approves reimbursement.
How the reimbursement works
Up to 100%, up to $15,000 a year
For eligible Massachusetts companies with 100 or fewer W-2 employees, the Express Program can cover the full cost of training your staff.
- Up to 100% reimbursed. Eligible small employers can get back up to the full cost of approved training.
- Up to $15,000 a year. Each company can be reimbursed up to this amount per year, and you can use it across different trainings.
- About 3 weeks. From application to acceptance typically takes about three weeks.
- The state sends you a check. You pay for the training, then Massachusetts reimburses you directly.
Estimate
Estimate the reimbursement
A rough estimate of what an eligible employer could be reimbursed, based on the current program figures. Final amounts are set by the state — treat this as a guide, not a guarantee.
